How to play the Stock News Game

  • You should quickly study the information and then try to decide if the stock prices of the company will go up or down. You have 4 choices ranging from a large drop to a large rise (Surge).

  • Click on one and then you can find out how other users guessed and how many points you have earned or lost.
  • You only have 3 minutes each time to make your decission, so you'll have to read quickly and not worry too much about understanding every word. There are lots of texts so you can play for as long as you like. If you really like the game you can register, log in and then record your score.

StockNewsGame buzz is all over the place

With great pride and nice amount of new traffic we've been concluding the last week. As we're just at the beginning of our endeavor (aka beta...), we'd encourage more feedback.

Here's a quick recap of the interesting coverage we got:

I sense a new addiction coming on.

After reading this article, I immediately signed up. Two guesses later, I am ahead 683 points and afraid to ever make a move again, lest I suddenly wind up 10 thousand in the hole.

Alright. How much financial damage could one more guess do...?

You should be warned, if you consider yourself an unlucky player, and are perhaps unfamiliar with the way stocks shift daily, prepare to burrow your score firmly in the red. Having spent just a few moments in the hot seat, I can assure you my assumptions of trading days past are thoroughly wrong.

The game is easy to play and you can check it out without ever having to create an account. It’s fun to see how good you are at making predictions and see your points accumulate. There are different levels, which will give people reason to keep coming back to play the game. Being able to choose the theme of the questions and companies will also be appealing to people interested in studying a specific area of the market.
